New Project, New Effort
As we break new ground with Amara, we are also moving in a new direction with our fundraising programs.
Our new 2008 membership campaign both benefits SF and Amara and builds appreciation for the epic and heroic qualities of the people we hope to help, through a striking new volume on the historic Tibetan Gesar. Thangka Paintings: An Illustrated Manual of the Tibetan Epic Gesar, is 200-page coffee-table book and encyclopedia of Tibetan culture that narrates the adventures of the warrior-king Gesar and the history of the ancient Kingdom of Ling through many stunning Thangka paintings.

These images are just a small sample of the vibrant prints woven throughout the text. Thanks to the support of the China Pictorial Publishing House, annual members at the $250 level or more will now receive a complimentary copy of this limited-edition work.
Students interested in contributing to the foundation's mission can likewise become members at the reduced rate of $100, including an attractive T-shirt emblazoned with the SF logo
